LMC Role

Welcome to the Land Management Corporation (LMC) website.

LMC is a State Government Corporation responsible for managing South Australia’s portfolio of land assets. Our primary aim is to provide social, economic and environmental benefits to all South Australians, by creating, facilitating and developing a range of land-based opportunities.

The LMC site will be updated regularly and is designed to provide an open forum. We welcome your feedback on how this service might be improved.

LMC activities include:

  • Releasing State Government owned land, facilitating sustainable industrial and residential development
  • Working with public, private and voluntary sectors to bring lasting social, economic and physical regeneration to existing communities
  • Assisting the State Government on strategic land and real estate issues
  • Disposing of surplus State Government land
  • Creating developments in partnership with the private sector or independently
  • Constructing, leasing or selling commercial and industrial properties of strategic importance to the State
  • Managing South Australia’s dedicated Technology Park
  • Providing advice and services to other State Government agencies on land-related matters.

LMC is a State Government corporation governed by a Board comprising six members, led by Mike Terlet AO. The Board reports to the Minister for Infrastructure, the Hon. Patrick Conlon MP.
